What to see in Florida from corner to corner

Miami Florida
Key West Beaches
Having fun in the Atlantic Ocean
We were in Florida during March last year, probably the best time to visit since you get to swim and sunbathe, but not suffocate from summer's heat.
Indeed, we do not recommend actually going there during summer, although many think that is the high season, it really isn't.
There are too many travel websites saying that the best time is anything except from summer.
The distances were vast, so we rented a car as soon as we got there. Plus it is a pleasure to drive around. We stayed for a month, but even those with less time in their hands should not miss Orlando's theme parks, Cape Canaveral and Key West.
And considering the proximity of Florida to the Caribbean, maybe add 5-7 days in the Bahamas or Mexico. The coast of Florida is mostly composed of residential neighborhoods for families or the elderly, and is a very quiet place. Florida is very special, many probably do not expect that. A large part of it is still wild and natural.
In fact if you go on a highway flanked by endless swamps you may get to see an alligator at any time! Fortunately that doesn't happen often.
However, if you want to see them, there are plenty in the Everglades, near Miami, a huge natural park. In this vast swamp, you can freely stroll among the many alligators and tropical birds, and you can also do a lot of fun stuff like going around the swamp on boats that are powered by turbine aircrafts.
We also moved to Key West, the extreme tip of the USA, just 90 miles from Cuba. Really pretty, even built in a colonial style, with mostly white wooden houses. Everything is in this style, including the hotels.
Key West is famous for its sunset, which is indeed spectacular. In the square a little before sunset, jugglers, magicians, street vendors gather to entertain the hundreds of people present. In the evening, we had a walk downtown.
While going back, you should definitely visit the space center at Cape Canaveral. There you can see a shuttle and even get inside. There are also many rockets used for space exploration, and many other interesting objects. This memorial of space is so beautiful and touching.
Afterwards we run in Orlando, the kingdom of Disney and its theme parks! There was a lot of amusement parks! The MGM, Disney World, Epcot Center, and then the legendary Seaworld and Universal Studios.
Here you can relive the excitement of the movies, like King Kong, where the suspended cable car travels, simulating the earthquake in the subway. The parks were all very beautiful!
Last but not least was Miami, a city that is mostly Latin American. Everything is in two languages, Spanish and English. The center of the city is spectacular, Miami Beach is full of beautiful people, boys and girls who display the best physical shapes with perfect and fashionable clothes. It seems a world apart from the rest of Florida.
Ocean Drive is a succession of local shops and one of the trendiest. It seems like no one works there. The shops there are beautiful inside, and the prices are not bad.
The night of Miami is a must, and we were not afraid to walk. As long as you remain in the center where there's so many people, there is nothing to fear. Both day and night, though, do not walk away from Ocean Drive. Miami is a city known for its beauty and money, but if you go just a little in the side streets you will discover so much poverty and violence.
There are so many poor neighborhoods, and a high crime rate. It was also worth visiting the neighborhood of Coconut Grove, a very quiet wealthy place with shops, a large shopping center. There is also the picturesque confusion of Miami Beach!
All in all, we enjoyed our trip and thought we could have seen it all even if we had less time.
