When preparing a Florida travel budget, it is easy to forget things and you end up having to spend way more money than you thought. This leads to stress and frustrations on your one Florida vacation.

Our simple travel budget gives you a head start on what and where your money could/will go on your trip to Florida. So take a look, print this out or write everything down, and you will be well prepared for your discount Florida vacations.

The best way to do this is to write down everything involving your budget travel Florida vacation. Then, figure in the cost (if not sure, go on the high side). Finally, figurein an extra amount of money or percentage for safety.

So, here we go...

• Airfare (if applicable). Get the best airfare by shopping here or our favorite online sources.
  
  
• Car rental (if applicable). This also applies to shopping around to find a discount car rental. Figure in Gas and possibly insurance too.
  
  
• Driving your own car. Here, you must figure in gas, maintenance, wear and tear,mileage, and so forth. Driving your own car may be more expensive. Although thesethings may not cost you right away, they eventually will. However, if your trip to Floridais less than 8 hours, driving your own car may not be a bad idea.
  
  
• Lodging. Where will you stay? Will you be able to eat in or out? Again, shop around for excellent hotel deals or whatever your choice of lodging for your trip.
  
  
• Shopping. You will need things before you leave and while there. Things to keep thekids busy, the spouse busy, you busy. Clothes, beach items, travel necessities, snacks,electronics, etc...
  PS. You can find good deals on all that with our help. Also, if youplan on finding cool stuff while you shop in Florida, you will need to budget for that.
  
  
• Gas. Quite expensive right now so plan on high gas prices in your travel budget.
  
  
• Daytrips, Activities, Tours, Golf, Fishing, Water Sports/Activities, etc...
  Things to do in Florida is where a lot of your money will go, but make sure you get good deals on the above itemsand you will have extra cash to have fun.
  
  
• Entertainment. Movies, Attractions, Nightlife, and other forms of entertainment.
  
  
• Food. Will you eat out or eat in?You have to do an all you can eat crab at least one night!!
  
  
• Theme Parks. Plan if you go to Orlando or other Florida theme parks. The tickets and anythinginside the parks can get very expensive.
  
  
• Miscellaneous. There are always new things to do on your Florida vacations. Make sureyou have some money for misc. items/activities.
  
  
• Emergency/Extra Money. Again, plan to have an emergency amount just in case. Keep this in a safe place away from your other money.
