Three Rooker Bar and Anclote Island

Three Rooker Bar and Anclote Island is accessible only by boat and during the weekdays is the best for nude sunbathing.

You will see occasional fishermen cruise by but nudity in this area is a familiar site. The are also many nude Florida charters and and private boaters au natural in this area.

It is located just west of Tarpon Springs Florida about 3 to 4 miles out from land. Anclote Island is a barrier island and is a long Stretch of powdery sand beach on the west side and is rarely patrolled.

There is a lighthouse on the southern end in which a ranger lives but she is totally cool. My wife and I camp on the Northwest part nude.

From sunset to sunrise you can be nude and not have to worry at all about rangers and can see anyone coming from a long distance away and will have plenty of time to cover up.

Campfires and camping are legal on Anclote Island. In the morning we see other campers strolling up and down the beach nude collecting shells. Find more info. on the Florida campgrounds.

The beach and waters are very clear and sandy, so it is easy to submerge yourself in the water and go unnoticed or bring a towel to wrap in an emergency.

About one nautical mile south is Three Rooker Bar. This is another barrier island that is much smaller but is not patrolled.

I like going on the west side of the Island in which you can sit between Mangroves and can see in either direction if anyone is coming and one has plenty of time to cover up or plop yourself in the water.

I usually see nude boaters anchor here and we all kind of watch each others back in case we have to cover up. Binoculars are very handy for spotting other boaters and nudist.

I say nudist because it seems to make sense that other nudist boaters anchor kind of close so that every one can keep a watchful eye.

I have spoke with other nudists on Anclote Island Florida and have heard stories of rangers not ticketing or arresting but kindly telling to get a suit on.

I have been visiting these islands for five years now and the main thing to follow are these 4 basic rules.

1- Overt sexual behavior is a big no no and should be kept in your tent or home in your bedroom.

2-Always be prepared to cover up especially when you see a family walk or cruise by on boat, unless of course they are also nude.

3- Nudity on these islands is NOT legal but if you are careful, you can enjoy the freedom of being clothes free.

4- For and extra advantage bring binoculars, although you really do not need them is it nice to know from far away if it is a clothed family or other friendly nudist walking the beach in which then you it would not be necessary to cover up.
