#1: Sit on the Beach or Poolside Fun

Sitting on the Florida beaches or poolside, while your loved ones play in the ocean, is just one of the things to do in Florida. These are great activities to fill up your day-time.

Why? One, it saves money. Two, the Florida beaches and ocean are one of Florida's most breathtaking attractions - in my opinion.

Just make sure that your Florida beachfront vacation hotel has a pool if everyone doesn't likethe Florida beaches or ocean. This will also give you time to relax, enjoy the beautiful Florida lifestyle & atmosphere,plan other adventures for you and your loved ones, walk the best beaches for shelling in Florida, and get some sun!

#2: Cheap Florida Golf Vacation, Fishing Florida Beaches, Scuba Diving in Florida, Jet Skiing, & Other Outdoor Adventures

Scuba Diving or Snorkeling: See the vast beauty the ocean offers with under water adventures. This is one of the things to do in Florida that you won't want to miss.

Scooter Rentals (this is a must in Keywest): If your best Florida beach isin a quaint location where everything is close but too far to walk, thenrent a scooter. It is easier than a car for getting around and is a ton of fun.
Running & Bicycle riding on Florida beaches: If you are working on your best beach body or enjoy working outon the beach in the morning (as part of your personal time), there is no placelike the Florida beaches to do this. Enjoy the waves breaking at your feet, the gorgeous sun rises, and peacefulness you just don't get at home.
Jet Ski's: These are so much fun, you'll want to buy one of your own. The first time I did this I was nervous, but soon found out why we MUST rent a jet ski on each trip.
Hiking & Florida Beaches Wildlife: See the beauty of Florida's nature. You can go camping on Florida beaches or wilderness, hike, take wildlife tours, and have lots of fun in the national parks. You can also walk many of the best beaches for shelling in Florida. Plus, if you're near the everglades, touring around on an airboat or canoe is an adventure you'll never forget.
Florida water parks: When the beaches are crowded and the pool isn't doing the job, try having some fun at one of the Florida water parks! You'll find an adventure for everyone!

Suring Florida: If you're up for the amazing breaks dude - try surfing Florida or taking some lessons!

#3: Daytrips & Tour Any Florida Attraction

If everyone is tired of just sitting around, then plan a day or two to take a tour or visit some of the great Florida attractions.

Florida day trips and tours can provide something to do for everyone. This way you get the most out of your Florida discount vacations!!

Here is a list of a few of the day trips/tours you can enjoy...

Orlando and Disney World: We all know that there is so much to do there. From the adventure parks, to Seaworld, to city walk with Margaritaville and Hard Rock Cafe, there is plenty to do to keep you busy for a month. Also, don't forget to try a world famous Hurricane!!

With Orlando being centrallylocated you can either plan to go to Walt Disney World Florida and venture to a Florida beach or vice versa. In fact, we have devoted a whole section on Orlando and Disney.

Florida Charters & Boat Trips: Day or dinner cruises can be fun or romantic. With great food, sites, & entertainment, you won't regret a Florida boat trip as one of your things to do in Florida. One, that we had too much fun on, was the millionaire's row trip in West Palm Beach. If you decide to go to that area, don't miss that trip.
You'll be amazed at the beauty this area presents.

Florida Attraction Shopping: You have to at least buy some knick knacks to take back home with you. Florida has some great strip mall shopping, & state of the art malls that will hit your wallet hard if your not careful. Just make sure you don't go overboard, but do get everything you want.
Make sure you don't throw money away by taking care of your beach shopping / travel needs before you leave.
Just driving around can be fun: For example, we rented a convertible when we wentto Miami Florida. It wasn't any more expensive than other discount car rental would have been.

We had a blast driving around Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and even took a day to drive to the Key West Florida beaches. What an amazing trip.

Anyhow we got sun,saw the Florida attraction sites, and enjoyed spending quality time together.

Another time we packed up from West Palm Beach and drove through to the Florida West Coast Gulf beaches. If you have never seen the inner parts of Florida you'll be surprised. The Everglades and swamp land was actually cool to look at. Heck, it beat the bareness and nothing to look at of the Midwest!!

Be sure to take a drive just to enjoy the view and amazing million dollar homes.

Another piece of advice for finding things to do in Florida, is to check at your discount hotel or the local chamber of commerce. They always have brochures on Florida attractions for any tourist.

Also ask around to another tourist or local. Other visitors or locals will know what is a good Florida attraction and what isn't.

#4: Florida Entertainment & Events

There are always things to do in Florida relating to events and entertainment. The nightlife at various spots is fabulous. Find places that have a cool atmosphere.

For example, an eatery that you can sit out on the porch, watch the sunset, or a place that has tiki torches and live music.

Check around for the local spots that others recommend. You'll know which ones, when you get there, because they are listed everywhere and are always busy.

As we dig through our archives and get reviews from travelers, we'll provide you with a list of our favorites. Our favorites include finding local places that have been recommended from locals, enjoy some food and drinks, take a walk on the beach, go see a movie, & if there are no kids, check out local nightclubs and watering holes for some Florida cocktails and music.

#5: Restaurants/Clubs/Watering Holes

Whenever we go on vacation, we love to eat out. It is a big part of our travel budget and if you have enough room in yours, then eating at some of the local spots is a treat!

For instance, we enjoy visiting Crabby Bills in Clearwater Florida. We love to eat breakfast at various pancake houses and such. We basically don't eat at national chains because you can get that anywhere.
Don't forget to get your travel deal coupons. This will give you the opportunity to eat out more often - that way you don't have to cook or settle for Fast Food.

We also enjoy cocktails on the beach or at local spots. Dancing is something we have fun doing during the nightlife.

In Ft. Lauderdale, for example, we were able to have a nice lunch on the strip and enjoy what they called a painkiller (actually we couldn't drink it... too strong).

In Orlando Florida, our hotel had a tiki bar that was on the lake. We met some interesting people and had a lot of fun.

Miami has some of the best nightlife in the world. You won't want to miss doing this at least once. Of course, if you have young children, this probably won't fit into your plan. But, there is a lot of other things to do in Florida and you can always come back.
