Hey, I know what being a college student is like- long, boring classes, tests and papers

of stress.
College can be great times, but there is always time for that much needed
break...spring break! summer vacation! or holiday break! That's why they give us breaks
anyway, right? So we can get away to the Florida beaches with a student travel package, have fun, and come back ready for more.

I "mostly" remember all of my spring breaks. They were some of the best times I've ever had.
Two years in a row we went to Panama City Beach. What a blast we had. Drinks on the
beach, hot bodies running around everywhere, day events that MTV & Days Inn put on were excellent,
and a nightlife that was even better (clubs, the strip, bars on the beach, etc...).
Another year we visited Clearwater Beach Florida with some friends. It wasn't as happening
as other spring break beaches Florida, but if you're looking to get away for a relaxing vacation, get a great student travel package,
with still the fun & sun the Florida beaches have to offer, then the gulfcoast is your choice.
We have so many Florida spring break memories that I could go on for days, but I won't (note that we have been to multiple Florida beaches so we know our stuff). Hopefully though, my
excitement gets you fired up for your trip, but any vacation gets a college student excited, right?
Anyways, here are some other great spots we recommend for college travel and getting a student
travel package deal:
Miami Beach Florida: South Beach is a must. Rated as one of the top 10 Florida beaches all the time with some of the world's top clubs & restaurants, the fun will never stop.
Here are a few words from some lady friends of mine who visited South Beach on Spring Break in '05...
We flew down to the Miami airport. We booked our trip through Kayak.com because they offered a cool search function that scanned the web for the best deals.
When we arrived, we waited for the Shuttle Vans to take us to our hotel. That was a nightmare. We should have rented a car for the week- Oh well.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Beachfront, which was very convenient, the rooms were nice and clean, and perfect for us spring breakers. Plus, our concierge at the hotel had tons of stuff for us to do. This was something we didn't expect.
The first night we went to Nicki Beach, which I highly recommend, it was a lot of fun. Very expensive, but the best part of the trip.
We also ventured around town. Just be careful- that's what I suggest, being a girl.
One night we took a limo around town. We tried some of the local restaurants, bars, and so forth.
That night was really fun, but the restaurants were SUPER expensive. Just a side salad at one was eleven dollars. Of course I'm the dumb girl who ordered one. But the food was really good everywhere we went.
The last night we went to The Mansion. We paid 40 dollars, but it was worth it just to see the place. It was huge. If you're into techno, this place is for you.
Overall, South Beach was a great time. There were gorgeous people everywhere. The beaches were great during the day and the nightlife, although expensive, was worth every penny. We just wished we brought more money.
I'd definitely go back b/c we didn't even scratch the surface of things to do there.
Daytona: I personally haven't visited Daytona yet. A number of friends have though
and have always had a great time down there. They say its full of beautiful people, breathtaking beaches,
and lots to do. In fact, I am going to
let a friend of mine explain the spring break he had in Daytona:
In March, some friends and myself traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida.
We ended up getting our student travel package through Trip Advisor.
The resort we picked was called the Desert Inn. They rented to kids that were 18 and older, it was cheap, and we
heard that it was the party central for kids in Daytona beach.
We ended up driving down from Dayton, Ohio and it took us 16 hours straight through...
The drive down was ok, but the drive back stunk!! We took our own car, but should
have rented one.
When we arrived, we found out the hotel was an all college student party central, for spring break
travelers! It wasn't the nicest place to be, but
was sufficient enough for the week.
The weather was warm, in the 80's most the time. We would wake up
and be on the beach till 5 or 6 then go out to eat, we went to places that were cheap
and that we could get a lot of food like fast food places. We ate at Ruby Ruesdays
on our last night and that was excellent.
For the night life we went to one club and it
cost like 20 dollars to get into.
The club was cool and their were hotties everywhere, but it was expensive. We
basically just partied in our room at the hotel with a bunch of other college students.
Things to do there during the day were the beach, swimming, contests at the pool side,
driving your cars on the beach, and anything you could imagine you could do.
It was a great time and I would highly recommend it. I would want to check
out other Florida vacation spots, but would consider going back because we
didn't even scratch the surface of things to do in Florida.
Fort Lauderdale Florida: Everything is on one strip. Shopping, bars, the beach,
and Miami is only about 20-30 minutes away. I had a great time there
drinking Coronas day and night!! Ft. Lauderdale is definitely in our top 5 student travel locations. It was the featured beach in Nerds II- Hey I'm not that old yet!!

Also, here are a few student travel package tips:
Read our money saving tips section. We provide great information on getting a student travel package deal.
Plan ahead and start looking for deals as soon as you know where you're going- Many of the top spots sell out quickly. Staying in the right hotel can be very important on any college break. If you look early enough, you can get a student travel package deal at the hottest hotels!
Start saving: Put a few bucks away each paycheck or anytime you get money.
You will want plenty of money to spend as there is so much to do in Florida. You will also want to get your student travel package deal early, so you don't miss out!
I remember one time I we decided to go to Florida one week before spring break.
I had no money, because I too, waited. So I worked all week and saved up about $1000.
It was enough and we had a good time, but I did spend a lot more than I should have on travel and lodgings because
I didn't plan ahead.
So take it from me, start early. You'll want money for shopping, food, clubs, bars, travel, and so on... Also, be careful with your money so you don't lose it stumbling home from the clubs!!
Pack intelligently and don't forget all your necessities. Make a list. Trust me
forgetting things like your ID can ruin the whole trip.
Be careful: There are predators who love to focus on college students. The one time
to listen to your parents advice about protecting your money and self is now.
College breaks are all about having good time, but don't let it become a nightmare
by not being smart and watching out for each other.
Some tips for being safe include, knowing your way around the area, knowing how to get ahold of the authorities, keeping track of each other, not hooking up with random people, keeping important items in safe places, and letting others know where you are. Don't go off alone!
Stay away from illegal or suspicious activities. For instance, some guys rolled up in a van to me and a friend and offered to sell us a drug. We said no, knowing that it could have cost us dearly.
Drink responsibly! Be careful of drinking out in the sun (dehydration), watch your drinks at the bars so someone doesn't slip something in them, don't let your friends drink so much that they can't control themselves, watch out for alcohol poisoning, don't drink and drive, and look our for each other. Stay hydrated and eat before you go drinking! Not to be a downer, but it will help you have a better time.
