Navarre Beach is one of Floridas top 5 beaches with out a doubt. Protected by large preserves, birding saintuary, local codes limited developement. Close to Pensacola for accomodations leaving beach for sunbathing, birding, walking, swmimming. Clear Clear water. White white sandy beaches. Pensacola Beach which is on the Navarre Beach island has 1 main retail area and features longest fishing pier on west coast. Traveling to the southern point is the historic Fort Pickens, a vie over the inlet to the lighthhouse and outstanding sunsets. We have traveled most of the west coast of Fla. We have visited every beach on the Pandhandle from Perdedo Key to Appalachacola as well as the many of the beaches on the east coast to Key West. This is our number 2 or 3 beach in Florida but don't come looking for crowds, golf, and creature comforts. They are 15 min away in Pensacola.
