Having spent the majority of my childhood visiting this beach I can say that the changes that have occurred over the years have been nothing short of miraculous.

The beach was recently refurbished so the wide open beaches are even wider than ever. The city recently underground all the wires along Gulf Blvd. Many of the older hotels have been replaced with multimillion dollar homes and condominiums.

However, the area still offers families with the the best Florida beaches and warm gulf waters. Florida Gulf Vacations are less crowded than their east coast rivals. No wild beach parties and biker weeks occur on the Gulf side.
