Know The Florida Weather Before You Plan Your Vacation

As many of us know the Florida weather has sort of a multiple personality issue.

It can be amazing, sunny, beautiful, perfect for a beach vacation one minute and completely the opposite the next.

We all watch in amazement as hurricane after hurricane stomp through Florida year after year. This however is not the weather people travel to Florida every year for - so don't let that deter you, Florida is gorgeous.

Although it stays fairly warm throughout the year that does not mean that the Florida weather is without seasonal changes.

We do cover this in other areas of our site but thought it important to devote a page to the weather because it is important to understand it while planning your trip.

Jan through March or so is snowbird season. This is the hot time of the year for many parts of Florida as the folks who have homes in Florida will venture down and let loose for a few months.

Florida weather during this time can be mild and wonderful, especially if you are used to frigid winters and snow.

Spring time can have fluctuations of weather as spring tends to have but the weather gets warmer. This is spring break time so plan your destination wisely.

Summers get relatively warm as it tends to do in the south. If being on, near, or in the water most of the time is your vacation plan, then this won't bother you too much.

Fall time (or August through October) is hurricane season. We have never had a problem during our vacations at this time and the weather has been warm and pleasant, but be sure you are aware of how the Atlantic and Gulf are rearing up this time of year.

Finally, the holidays bring us back around to the first of the year. Florida is a great place to spend the holidays unless you are happy with your current location.
