Jacksonville Florida Beaches
This is one of the largest cities in the US. bringing you a ton of culture and history.
I have heard it called a "water & golf lover's paradise." It is warm and full of
hospitality, that many have come to believe Florida beaches offer. If you are looking to relax,
enjoy some great outdoor activities, do some big city shopping, go bicycle riding on Florida beaches, and have a great time, then
this may be your choice of Florida vacation sites.
Specific things you'll want to do include, the Zoological Gardens, Riverwalk,
eat at St. Johns Seafood and Steak, and venture around this wonderful city.
Jacksonville also has some high quality theatre, music and art, and has been voted
as one the best places to live and best rated Florida beaches.

Of the many Florida vacation sites, our next Florida vacation spot along the beaches A1A Florida is...
Saint Augustine Florida Beaches
Saint Augustine is just south of Jacksonville and offers a laid back atmosphere that you
adults will enjoy. We have had others say this isn't the best choice if you have
yonger children that like to stay active however, if your kids love to relax on the beach and
play in the ocean, then these Florida sugar sand beaches are fine.
The Alligator Farm, Ripley's Museum, Marine Land Oceanarium are just a few of this Florida
vacation sites best attractions.
Don't forget to eat at Cap's on the Water, Barnacle Bills, and Harry's Seafood Bar and Grill.
You will leave stuffed, yet craving more.

The next of our Florida vacation sites is just further south at...
Daytona Florida Beaches
Daytona has a rich tradition mostly known for its spring break extravaganzas. Yet many
claim that it has cleaned up since those days.
Although it still attracts an array
of college students letting loose every spring, Daytona also offers an array of
family activities and gorgeous light brown sand beaches (start your family memories on their best Florida family beaches).
If you are a motor sport buff, you will enjoy the Daytona 500 every February or
Bike Week in March. We have found some complaints of the area being dirty, however
found 5 star accomodations.
Enjoy Air Florida Helicopters, anything related to motorsports, Pelican Bay Country
Club for you golf enthusiasts or weekend warriors, and if you want to enjoy an
evening without the young ones, venture over to Ocean Deck Restaurant & Beach Club.
Known for its atmosphere, music, drinks, and of course- good food.
Daytona Florida beaches have a lot to offer you for your vacation- Click here & visit Daytona!!
Ok...Let's continue further to our other Florida vacation sites and make
a pit stop at...
Cocoa Beach Florida Beaches
You may not want to just stop in, but stay for a whole month!
We found this to be a great choice among our list of Florida vacation sites and other budget travelers
have given it nothing but 5-star reviews. The best part about Cocoa Beach is that
it is 45 minutes from Orlando- you will even enjoy the drive to and from.
Cocoa is great for fishing Florida beaches, golfing and surfing, and don't forget to visit the world famous
Ron Jon Surf Shop. It is also close to Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center which could be a fun day trip.

Hey!- are you still there? We aren't done yet with our Florida vacation sites along the beaches A1A Florida.
We are going to travel quite a bit further south to...
Palm Beach Florida Beaches
Now before we go further about Palm Beach we want to warn you of something first.
Palm Beach is a great location in Florida, but it does have its drawbacks that we
wish someone would have told us about.
Make sure you take plenty of money!! This is one of the richest towns in the world
and if you plan to enjoy the food, attractions, and all Palm Beach has to offer, you
will need plenty of funding.
We spent our honeymoon here. It was an excellent week and we enjoyed every minute of it.
Yes, we did leave our hotel room!! Our favorite part was our hotel/resort and the drive along the
coast.
We stayed in a Marriott and had top quality service and ammenities. We had two pools,
private entrances, a tiki bar, a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, and plenty of
privacy on these Florida secluded beaches.
We had fun sitting by the pool, laying on the beach, and playing
in 8 foot waves. Well my wife got pummeled, but I had fun (there was a tropical storm at sea)!
We also drove up and down the beaches A1A Florida coast admiring the luxurious yachts and homes (like Mar-a-lago) and
dreaming of a life we intend to have one day (read how we plan to do that here)!!
We did find it to be one spot in Florida that the wealthy venture to for their vacation homes (First of the year is the big time of year).
There is a culture there that if you aren't a part of, you will know it. We did get
snubbed a bit, but after seeing a show on the travel channel about this area on the east coast, realized why.
Don't let this deter you though. It is one of the best Florida vacation sites we recommend and rated as some of the Florida top 10 beaches.
Be sure to check out Worth Avenue's restaurants and shopping. The Henry Morrison Flagler Museum
was one attraction we enjoyed. Plus, like I said, don't forget to travel up and down
highway beaches A1A Florida!!

Wow! Have you found a spot you like? Before you decide, you might
want to check out the next couple Florida vacation sites.
The next to last place we love to go to is...
Fort Lauderdale Florida Beaches
I knew of Fort Lauderdale from the movie, "Revenge of the Nerds II- Nerds in Paradise," and many of the movies put out in the 80's- yes the 1980's!!
I'll tell you, that is what it represents, paradise. It is the picturesque Florida
vacation spot. Sparkling white sand beaches, crystal clear water, people everywhere,
$75,000+ cars along the strip, great shopping, and restaurants and bars overlooking
the Atlantic Ocean.
Fort Lauderdale and it's best rated Florida beaches are a famed spring break destination so travel at appropriate times.
Be sure to take the water taxi, tiki tours, and travel on the Jungle Queen. Las Olas Cafe was
really good and the other numerous cafes and bars you can enjoy food, drinks, and fun,
while people watching, ship watching, and taking in the view.
Fort Lauderdale could be the spot for you- click here to see why!!
This brings us to our last but not least of the Florida vacation sites along the Atlantic
Coast...
Miami and South Beach Florida Beaches
There is so much we can say about the beaches in Miami Florida. The Cuban influence comes to mind or
the American Art Deco architecture, Miami represents. Miami's South Beach is HOT year-round.
The embodiment of excess, South Beach is a world-renowned playground offering non-stop nightlife, sandy shores with Florida sugar sand beaches,
plenty of beautiful people and more than enough to do.
We traveled there and stayed in North Miami at a condo that was what we called,
"our little love shack." It was tiny, but had a great view of the Atlantic,
all the room two of us needed, and wasn't crowded at all (they have some great Florida secluded beaches). The beaches were
some of the best we've visited, and I remember walking out at least 100 yards
in the ocean and still seeing my feet.
We had lots of fun making our way around town in our Spider convertible and taking a day trip along the one lane highway to Key West Florida beaches.
Also, you must take in the cafes, shopping, and amazing scenery.
Tourists and natives alike flock to Ocean Boulevard in South Beach to
Crazy street parties, neon-lit buildings and all-night nightclubs are much of the norm.
Luxury is what I think of when you say South Beach. High-end sport cars cruising up and down the
strip is normal and this is where many come to enjoy
the scene more often than the cuisine.
We did eat at Senor Frogs and had fun after dinner hours and Little Havana was a place
we highly suggest you try. People have said this is the "most exciting city," of the many
Florida vacation sites, and we would tend to agree. It was crazy.
Our tips on Miami and the beaches in Miami Florida are to be careful. Be sure to stay in areas that are safe... some outer
areas appeared to be scetchy.
Also, watch out for the drivers. If you are like me
and used to people driving below the speed limit, you will be in shock, they are
all over the place. Plus, English is not the main language, so be prepared for that.
We had no problems though.
All in all, Miami City & the beaches in Miami Florida are a fun spot. We don't recommend it as much for families with
young children as the topless beaches and scantily dressed people are everywhere.
Also, it can be quite an expensive vacation, compared to other Florida vacation sites.
