The Best Florida Family Vacations... Ensure a Wonderful Family Trip With our Tips & Ideas!
Why travel to Florida for your Florida family vacations?
For these simple reasons...
Its warm all year around, the climate is awesome.
Many families spend their summer vacation as well as their holidays on the family beaches in Florida.
It can be a great choice for a tropical family vacation, spending time
on the beautiful coastline with a Florida beachfront vacation, a
Disney Vacation in Orlando Florida, or a combo of each.
Florida family vacations offer so much to do from fun in the sun,
to great attractions, while getting the most for your money!
So lets start planning your Florida family vacations NOW!!
Top 10 Florida Family Vacations Travel Planning Tips and Necessities!!
#1: Decide When to Go to the Family Florida Beaches and Vacation Spots...
When to go on your Florida family vacations is a very
important decision.
There are better times than others,
to maximize time spent in the sun and on the Florida beaches and enjoy the many attractions
without the crowds, which will also minimize expenses of a family inexpensive vacation.
But, remember, Florida beachfront vacations offer great vacation spots all year around!
Googs list of best times to travel to Florida:
- Right after Memorial Day thru the second week of June
has been shown to be the perfect time
to take your Florida family vacations. Weather is excellent just
about every day, all attractions are open, and the Family beaches in Florida and the ocean
are beautiful this time of year, without the crowds (kids not out of school yet).
- Be careful during late August thru October. This is Hurricane season,
as we witnessed the past couple years, how treacherous it can be.
Don't let it detour you if this is your choice. My wife and I spent
three Florida vacations in September and had wonderful weather, it was quiet
from lack of tourists, and the Florida beaches were still beautiful. If maximum
relaxation is what you want, or a little romance, September may be your best time.
- The holidays can be fun too, especially if you
are drenched in 10+ inches of snow like I was this past Christmas.
A little snow is great, but not a blizzard (maybe you like that?).
Also, this time of year through March, the snowbirds make their way to Florida- but everyone is really friendly and you'll still have a good time on your family inexpensive vacation.
- July and August get substantially hot, but if your looking to spend most of your
time near the water or on the family beaches in Florida, this timeframe will be ok.
- Finally, spring break is fun for the college students. It can be crowded
in Orlando this time of year too. Just be smart about where you are going
and plan wisely for things to do in Florida.

#3: Decide Where to Go- Which Family Beaches in Florida are for You...
Where do you want to go on your Florida family vacations?
Orlando perhaps? You'll get to enjoy the major attractions & magical atmosphere of Walt Disney World and more
that people travel from around the world to experience.
How about any of the beautiful Florida beaches up either coast? The Florida Panhandle beaches are wonderful, The Florida West Coast Gulf beaches have been our favorite, and the Family beaches in Florida along the East Coast (beaches A1A Florida) are spectacular too!
Also, Key West Florida beaches are one of the Florida vacation spots you must visit once!
Or, why not beaches near Orlando and Walt Disney World?
For example, I spent a week in Orlando, visited the sites, enjoyed the
shopping, nightlife, and spent one day at Cocoa Beach Florida and another at
Clearwater Beach Florida, both about an hour away.

to go yet...

#4: How to get there- Fly vs. Drive
Drive your own car or a discount car rental for your Florida family vacations?
With gas prices being where they are, driving may be out,
but don't think you can't travel just as cheap and have a Family inexpensive vacation.
Plus with flying you get there faster.
YEAHHHHH!!
Cheap car rental and cheap airfare are easier to find than you think, with our help.
Googs says compare and contrast rates for flying and car rentals, here.
Tip:
If you are driving, write out everything from
gas, to food, to mileage, to maintenence, if you take your own car.
You will be surprised at how expensive it can be, even though you think you're saving $$.
These are a few reasons to go with a discount car rental or fly.
We haven't driven our own car in our 3 past vacations and fly on most occasions.
Trust me we aren't wealthy either.
We will probably never drive again if the trip is over 8 hours long. Remember,
kids and spouses can get edgy in a long car ride, again making your trip
dreadful. Make sure you plan appropriately with kid travel games, activities, and entertainment!
