Setting Up. You will want to look for high level ground, a water source, an area for cooking, an area for cleaning, shade, and other camping necessities. Be sure that if you want quiet not to set up by a major road or highway. Most of this is common sense, but we feel we should mention it.
Things you'll want to consider.
- The heat. Remember, Florida campgrounds can get quite hot.
- Does the place have a pool, electric, shower, water, restrooms? Although you may want to "rough it" for the trip, these items will make life a bit easier so you can enjoy your vacation.
- Costs of camping or staying in a hotel.
- Do you have an RV? Access to air or shelter? Just for added safety, security, and comfort.
Also, keep your checklist, plan meal times, stay clean, know the rules and regulations of the Florida campgrounds, and enjoy the area safely.
