good deals for the Florida campgrounds.
Where to Camp.
There are many public and private Florida campgrounds and Florida RV parks to choose
from. What we suggest is, read as many reviews of the various campgrounds that you can.
We did a simple search and found great tips and suggestions. Try searching under
Florida campgrounds, Florida RV parks, reviews, tips, etc...
We found that camping was set up really nice nowadays. When I camped as
a kid, there was a tent, a fire, and that was about it. You have options nowadays, so
know what you need in a campground and go find it.

Setting Up.
You will want to look for high level ground, a water source, an area for cooking,
an area for cleaning, shade, and other camping necessities. Be sure that if you want
quiet not to set up by a major road or highway.
Most of this is common sense, but we feel we should mention it.
Things you'll want to consider.
- The heat. Remember, Florida campgrounds can get quite hot.
- Does the place have a pool, electric, shower, water, restrooms? Although you may
want to "rough it" for the trip, these items will make life a bit easier so you can
enjoy your vacation.
- Costs of camping or staying in a hotel.
- Do you have an RV? Access to air or shelter? Just for added safety, security,
and comfort.
Also, keep your checklist, plan meal times, stay clean, know the rules and regulations
of the Florida campgrounds, and enjoy the area safely.
We suggest you familiarize yourselves with the local wildlife. Know what is out there,
what to steer clear of, and so forth.
It is a campground, and even though many are
highly regulated, there is wildlife. Dangerous or poisonous plants & animals could
pose a threat to you and your loved ones.
Ask the rangers or people in charge of the Florida campgrounds or Florida RV parks about
dangerous areas, plants, or animals.
Here is a must know list of safety tips for your camping trip...

- Review &/or get equipment.
- Know the area you're going to.

Napoleon would say...
'Bowhunting skills.'
- Stick together at all times.

- Leave your itenerary with someone with information about yourselves, your vehicles, etc.
