In fact, my wife Angie, wrote this whole page. She planned our wedding in 6 months and it
was as perfect as I would have pictured it. So I asked for her help...
Some of the benefits of Florida beach weddings include... it's natural, you can beyourself, it's casual, & you only need to worry about those close to you and you canenjoy timetogether.
Something you'll definitely want to do is keep everything light and simple.
It's very easy to plan an extravagant Florida wedding, but beach weddings are supposed to be very eloquent and simple. Think about it, you already have a gorgeous setting, why go overboard?
However, you will need to plan just like any other wedding to include the vows, the place, the reception, the invitations, the food and drinks, wedding wear, rings, decorations, and so on...
The top 5 things that are important when planning your beach theme weddings...
1. Choose the Florida beaches destination & plan your beach wedding & travel budget.
Ask for travel & honeymoon package deals before you book your hotels and such.
2. Advise family and friends so they can make Florida travel arrangements- Keep the invitations simple.
3. Contact a consultant in the area that you're planning the Florida beach weddings - Ask questions and get things in writing.
4. Choose a beach theme, attire, decorations (more stuff below on details), etc...
5. Finally, choose a reception theme and honeymoon spot (if you go elsewhere)- cruisesare great to take off from the cruise ports in Florida!
****As magical as a beach wedding in the beauty of Florida is, chances are some guests may be unable to attend. You can, however, make sure they can still see the ceremony by hiring a webcast provider and streaming the entire event live online, allowing friends and family that are miles away a chance to see you say “I do”.

Here are a few more wedding details you'll need to consider...
Just know that you should look into the rules, regulations, & restrictions before you getstarted planning your Florida beach weddings.
Our biggest tip again, is to find a local expert at planning events or beach weddings who canhelp you along the way. It will cost you a few more bucks, but will be worth it. You will have less stress and headaches.
**Beach Wedding Attire- Go barefoot, wear Hawaiian shirts (this theme always works), a sarong is great, or everyone wear white. A formal dress is too much (heck even an informal weddingdress is too much).
Go informal- consider fabrics such as linen, guaze, or chiffon.
**Florida Weddings Decorations- Again, keep things very simple. Be creative! Also, consider lighting and such. Tiki torches work well.
**The great thing is that the beaches are free, so finding the place is done.Which of the Florida beaches? Check into our best Florida beaches section to guide you to a decision.
**You will have to get a Florida wedding license. Contact the local government officialsto set that up. They may also be able to direct you in the right place for finding a minister, and knowing the rules of having Florida beach weddings.
**Consider the Florida weather. Can't help old Mother Nature. Be flexible and prepared for theworst.
**What about the music? Get a DJ. That is easy. If it's just a few people, a simplestereo will be efficient. Use your beach theme weddings planner to help with these types of details.
Just be creative, set up your Florida beach weddings the way you want, and have FUN!
Next, it's party time!! Plan a fun reception for your Florida beach weddings.
Again, keep things simple. You can do a number of cool things for this and stay within budget.
Use a local Florida restaurant to cater. They'll do the food, service, and take good care of you. This could be cheaper than a catering company. Get referrals on this.
Use blankets or tables for food and eating.
Hawaiian style themes like roasting a pig work well. You also can't go wrong with seafood or bbq.
My favorite idea! Use an old boat and fill with ice to putdrinks, cocktails, appetizers, and such in.
Keep everything flowing with the whole Florida beach weddings theme.
Use your consultant. We can't express this enough.
Other cool themes you should consider...
You could get married out at sea. People have done it on jet skis, surfboards, ora boat.
Just note that you must be within 3 miles of land. It is not favorable to marryout of the country. There are too many challenges to overcome with that.
If you have any other cool ideas, let us know! We'd love to hear from you.
Finally, plan to run off for a wonderful, romantic Honeymoon.
Can you see yourselves on a cruise? You could stay where you are? You could takeoff to a Caribbean island?
What about Europe or Australia? Go anywhere and enjoy each other for your first week of wedding bliss!!
