Don't Leave Home Without It!!!

Magic Kingdom of Disney World Orlando Florida

There are entire books and travel guides that provide a slew of Disney World information to help you plan your vacation to the magical world of Disney and Orlando.

We now should probably take a tour together and at least outline some of the ins and outs, theme parks, and other aspects that make for a great trip versus a miserable one.

We are offering this page, because my family and I are planning our own trip to Orlando with our two year old son who absolutely loves Mickey (he calls him Mimi) and the gang.

We decided to enlighten you with our own research to show just how important it is to have some Disney World information before you go.

Most travellers will state that the best times for an Orlando vacation are spring time after spring break and the holiday season. There is nothing like bringing in the warmth and magic of the holidays while combining it with the spirit of Disney. Kids of all ages will love it.

One tip we have is that you are going to run into people from all walks of life, cultures, and backgrounds, so please figure that into your trip and research.

Another tip is to pick up your attraction tickets before you go. Also, make specialty dinner reservations before you leave home, plan to get the most out of the parks early in the morning, and make a plan that isn't too stringent.

One final word of advice before we get to other Disney World information is to get your hands on an Orlando travel guide. The best place is either your library where I found one for each of the last 5 years by specialty travel guide experts like Frommer's and Fodor's.

These are the guides I almost always use when I need real information regarding travel and Florida. They offer trust-worthy websites, contact information, the "best of" for every situation, and more travel facts and insights that you won't get anywhere else.

NOW LET'S GET TO THE FUN!!!

Here is our best Disney World information & the top places in Orlando that you will sure want to put on your itinerary:

Besides shop til you drop malls, stores, and more tasty food than you can imagine, we want to talk about the main aspects of Orlando & Disney - the parks and magic!!

Travel Note: As we tour Disney, we are going to spare specific attractions, pricing, and so forth as this information changes consistently. That is why we highly recommend an up-to-date guide book with tons of Disney World information for your trip.

    Seaworld &
Shamu are all parts of Disney history
  • The Magic Kingdom
This takes us back to the days we all know and remember when it comes to Disney. The days of our favorite fairly tales and bedtime stories. Get a taste of real Disney history at one of the oldest theme parks while enjoying many new updates and attractions the kids will know as well.

  • MGM Studios
Disney's re-creation of old-school Hollywood entertainment, MGM brings what we see on screen alive and allows you to feel like your part of "movie magic." Lots of history and fun makes this a fantastic spot to visit.

  • The Animal Kingdom
Take an adventurous journey around the world through some of the most beautiful and breathtaking spots all across the globe with this amazingly designed and imaginative piece of Disney. From African Safari's to trek's around Asia, the Animal Kingdom will be both informational and entertaining. One trip you won't soon forget.

  • Epcot
Epcot is another oldie, but a goody when it comes to parks throughout Disney. You can describe it as a combo of world's fair and amusement park. You will recognize Epcot from the large globe that has become the staple of the park.

  • Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure
If you are seeking more thrills and rides, this would be a good choice. Combining awesome effects and cutting-edge technology, you won't be disappointed when you visit these parks. I would label this more of new-Hollywood magic you see on-screen. The best part is this is right near City Walk. I have never found a bad meal, bad entertainment, bad cocktails, and a bad time fooling around City Walk after a day at one of the parks.

  • Sea World
Aside from the Magic Kingdom, all Disney World information involves Sea World. If you haven't heard of Shamu, you must have lived under a rock for the last twenty years. A wonderful exploration of the seas, both you and the kids will absolutely be amazed at both the exhibits and shows that they display.

  • Must Mention
Some honorable mention spots that you must consider while visiting Disney include Discovery Cove, Gatorland, the Water Parks, the Spas for you adults, shopping, and other themed venues. There are shows, great sports bars, and so much more to do that your few days to few weeks vacation will have plenty to do and see!

Go Orlando Card: Check out this multi-attraction pass that gives you the most choice at Orlando's top attractions for the best value. Attractions include Kennedy Space Center, DAYTONA, Ripleys, Gatorland & more!

Whew! That was a mouthful. I am both exhausted and excited about the possibilities and magic that happens while in Disney.
