It provides everything you need for disocunted travels, discount hotels, cheap car rental, cruises, movie tickets, groceries, restaurants, and numerous other cheap travel activities. Instead of going only with one-room hotels or suites, dig and find someone looking to rent their home, condo, or time-share for your discounted travels.
Just make sure you ask detailed questions so you get everything you want.

For example, we stayed in a cute Florida waterfront properties condo with a kitchen. It was in Miami which said near South Beach.

Little did we know that it was North Beach (20 minutes away from South Beach Miami Florida). It was still an excellent Florida discount vacation, but the point is, make sure your location is right and it has the amenities you need.

$$ Saver #6: Off Season Travel

I know with work schedules, school schedules, and all other crazy things you have going on, traveling at specific times can be tough. You can save money anytime of year, but off-season is best.

Typically, school breaks and holidays are the most expensive and crowded, so plan ahead and plan wisely. Trust us, you can get an excellent Florida vacation deal!!

Also, traveling during the week can save you money. Plus, there are less crowds in airports and on the road during the week, vs. weekends (or over night).

Booking late can save you money. Be careful though, not to miss out on discounted travels because you waited too long. As you get closer to your vacation, airlines, hotels, etc...

Book early and be rewarded with Florida discount vacations. Be careful not to compromise your trip by staying in a location you don't prefer or taking a flight with 10 stops.

Remember, if you don't take Florida discount vacations very often, you want this vacation to make up for the other 50 weeks of the year you're working hard.

Once you have searched around for your price, you could bid at an auction site, such as Priceline. If you have shopped on Ebay or Priceline then you know how auctions work.

Bidding at auctions is fun and can provide great discounted travels. But, make sure you read our section on auctions before you go off and bid, even if you are a veteran.

There is nothing better than a good recommendation. When you're looking for discounted travels, be sure to search online travel reviews, ask friends and family, ask locals when you get there, and get as much information as you can, so you feel confident about your cheap travel decisions.

$$ Saver #10: Credit Cards & Financing

Using credit cards doesn't have to be a bad thing. It can be if not done correctly.

The Good:Use an air mile credit card to book your discounted travels flights, car rentals, lodging, etc...
To do these, use a credit card with an interest free program. This allows you to pay it off before the interest hits. Plus, it frees up cash for other travel adventures.

Also, use cards that offer awards, such as frequent traveler programs. There is such a thing as good debt- unfortunately most of us are in bad debt.

The Bad:An air mile Credit card can be dangerous in the wrong hands. Don't use them unless necessary and be careful not to max them out. This hurts your credit rating. Also make sure you can make more than the minimum payments.

Did you know that just paying the minimums on your card, it could take 20+ years to pay the card off. The point is less stress on your Florida discount vacations, not more.

The Ugly:If you already have an air mile credit card, don't get more. You don't want to max out or jeopardize your finances, just for your discounted travels. We have seen too many people struggle to pay their bills and get roped into credit card deals, us included. So, be careful, be wise, and again do your homework.

Some other pointers to mention: Eat appropriately. We all like to eat out, but traveling can consume a lot of your funds. If you have the cash, then fine. Otherwise, utilize eating out for different times (ie. eat breakfast and lunch in and dinner out or vice versa).
