On to our first of the beaches in the Florida Panhandle...

Some things to do in Destin Florida that you should add to your checklist include, sightseeing trips, deep sea fishing (my brother did this when he was 10 and loved it), Florida snorkeling and scuba trips, sunset cruises, para-sailing, jet skiing, and other water activities.

Plus, there are many land activities you can enjoy on the Destin Florida beach front. These include, golfing at one of Destin's fabulous courses, relaxing in the sun on one of the Florida sugar sand beaches, walking the beaches and shelling (they have one of the best beaches for shelling in Florida), watching or swimming with dolphins in Florida, camping on Florida beaches, and so on...

I remember waking up in our Destin Florida beach front condo, listening to the ocean waves breaking along the shoreline, eating break fast on our balcony, and watching dolphins less than 100 yards out, jumping in and out of the water. This happened about 15 years ago. That's the kind of impression this Destin leaves on you- that's why it's one of the Florida top 10 beaches.

You will also need to find Destin Florida vacation rental. Be sure you read the reviews, that it is in a location that suits your needs, and has all the amenities you want.

We would also like to mention a couple of places you must eat atwhile you are enjoying the Destin Florida beach front. The Back Porch Restaurant was the one place every local said not to miss. We are sure glad we didn't. It has a beautiful view, mouth watering food, and the service is 1st-class. Just make sure you don't go when they are too busy.

Fudpucker's is the other beach side eatery we had a good time at. They have a gift shop, things to keep the kids occupied, great food, and live entertainment. If you are looking for a relaxing evening with excellent service, food, and drinks, then don't miss the opportunity to eat at Fudpuckers' Beachside Bar and Grill.

On to our next of the beaches in the Florida Panhandle...

Many families love to visit Panama City. It is more 'lively' than the Destin Florida beach front and other Panhandle beaches. It is one of the best rated Florida beaches as well as best Florida family beaches. So don't fret if you are traveling as a family!

In fact, a friend of mine, who owns condos down there say the beaches in Panama City Florida are moving towards a family oriented style!

Personally, I have loved visiting during spring break.

If you have children, stay away during this time. If your child is going during this time, make sure they have everything they need to return safe and sound. I spent two spring breaks there. I loved hanging out on the beautiful Florida beaches throughout the day.

At night, we would find one of the many great eateries, like Angelo's Steak Pit, have a great dinner, then return to our beachfront hotel to sit on the balcony. Also we must mention American diner as a must for places to eat.

At night we would walk the strip, visit the giftshops, get a tatoo (one of the dumb things I did during spring break), visit one of the many beachfront watering holes, or visit Club LaVela- which was a lot of fun.

With the beaches in Panama City Florida there is a lot to do, the beaches are great (there are public beaches and Florida secluded beaches), many of the hotels have everything you could want, the restaurants are excellent and offer very tasty food and drink, and is a lot of fun!! These are just a few reasons why Panama City is one of the best rated Florida beaches.

So, if your family is wanting not only relaxation, but adventure, activities, and excitement, then I would pick Panama City Beach over the Destin Florida beach front!

Here you will enjoy stunning sunsets on their pier, relax on the beaches, have fun with a number of water and land activities, and overall have an outstanding time!!

Update: I've only visited this part of Florida for a day to see a baseball game. While there others had told us the wonderful time they were having in Pensacola. If this is a spot you know more about, please let us know as it is certainly on our list to visit!
