We're Off to the Daytona Motor Speedway in Florida for the Daytona 500!

Ok. I must not lie. I am not a huge fan of the Daytona Motor Speedway, Daytona 500, or even racing.

However, I am no dummy, I know how exciting it can be - I did love Talladega Nights though (quit laughing at me race fans).

This is one sport that a heck of a lot of folks enjoy. So, we decided to dedicate a page to this as something very very exciting to do while in Daytona Florida!

Plus, it is one of the things to do in Florida that is on our list. You only live once right?

Shall we take a ride to Daytona, have a few beers, some kick butt food, perhaps some beach parties, and enjoy one heck of a race...

The race appears to take place in February and Florida is a great place to be in February especially if you spend it in the snow like many people.

According to many fans that I've spoken to, this is one experience that even if you're not a race fan, is one hell of a time and one you don't want to miss.

I'm not going to go further except to ask for your own stories and experiences of this infamous event that takes place every year at the Daytona Motor Speedway.
