- Have you been on a cruise before? This goes for any vacation. If you are a repeat customer you have a good shot at getting an awesome cruise deal. All you have to do is ASK!
- A couple of other ways to find a cruise special is to go with a group and ask for a "group deal" or travel in the off season. With an off-season cruise you risk bad weather among other things, but if you just have to get away, then give it a shot!
- Shop Around and Try a Travel Agent.
Being online I wouldn't always recommend travel agent services, however we have found that they can negotiate quality deals. We first suggest you look at some of the major travel sites like Orbitz and compare those to some of the major Cruise Vacation sites. Lately places like Vacationstogo, cruise411, and icruise have provided some significant discounts, but look at a few before you decide.
- Also, know what your cruise package contains. You typically get the accommodations on the ship, meals, and entertainment. Find out about drinks, gambling, and other activities on-board that you'll have to pay for. Another consideration is airfare and lodging to get to and fro- stick around our site to find these deals.
- Be sure to know which cruise port in Florida you'll be traveling from. Again, this is important for finding cheap plane tickets, knowing the local area, and other aspects before you board the ship!
- Finally, remember tipping is a huge part of taking a cruise. Friends of mine didn't realize this and spent a lot more money than they expected, so plan on tipping when necessary.
