Coral Gables Florida Vacation

by Joe
(The Beach)

Coral Gables is a Unique Section of Florida

Coral Gables is a Unique Section of Florida

A historic enclave in South Florida, Coral Gables offers a unique old-world feel that is representative of parts of Florida that are less known tourist spots.

So, what is it about Coral Gables that invites a certain type of Floridian and vacation lover to the area?

Instead of realizing you are in the heart of Florida's largest metropolis, you'll get the feeling you are in some European/Mediterranean city instead.

George Merrick who more or less designed and developed the area, Coral Gables is well known for it's European architecture that makes this city stand out.

If you are a history buff alongside a Florida travel lover and perhaps have visited cities such
as St Augustine Florida, you'll absolutely cherish Coral Gables.

A more relaxed environment, you won't find spring breakers here or younger folks as the area is more
welcoming to a more family crowd or mature crowd who are looking for a beautiful area to enjoy a relaxing Florida vacation.

You'll find amazing homes (as you do up and down the A1A area), large yachts parked in the canals and marinas, and a couple of great golf courses (including the Granada Course).

In fact, if you're planning a Florida move this is one city you should consider as it boasts very good statistics.

The good news is you aren't far from the Miami Florida beaches if you want to enjoy a more lively setting or just tour around in other great parts of Florida.

We also recommend touring the area enjoying the history, homes (especially the Merrick House), and unique characteristics that are famous.

Close to University of Miami, you'll have fun taking in a game or just visiting the campus.

We also recommend hitting up downtown, riding the trolley along Ponce de Leon Blvd, and grabbing a bite to eat at places such as Gusto Fino Italian Market - they have unbelievable sandwiches and is the perfect Italian spot.

For great places to stay, we recommend trying to get into the Biltmore Hotel. If not you can find
the perfect Florida Vacation Rentals for your Coral Gables Florida vacation.

On top of these, there are plenty of great stays that won't let you down since this area seems to attract class. As usual though, always read reviews to choose wisely.

For great food, what we did was ask around. You'll have plenty of choices to choose from that won't disappoint you.

Some get expensive so just be aware of your decisions. If these spots aren't your fancy because of tastes or price, then again you aren't far from major cities and U or M where you'll be sure to find a more diverse selection.

Hopefully, after reading this you'll consider a Coral Gables Florida vacation if what we wrote about is what you enjoy.

The beauty of Florida vacations is there are vacation spots for everyone's tastes.

See you in South Florida!!
