These hotels are right on the waterfront and will keep you just a few steps away from those pristine sands. You will also be near all the action as many of the featured Cocoa Beach Events happen near this hotel. Another great ocean view, and a little quainter of a stay is the Sea Gull Beach Club. They have weekly rentals, so this only works if you are planning on taking a longer trip.

Want to look around a bit? There's plenty to do. First, Cocoa Beach is home to Ron Jon's Surf Shop. Not sure if a surf shop is that important? Well, you have never seen Ron Jon's. Ron Jon's is a world of it's own and people from around the world head to Cocoa Beach to see this surf mecca. You may even be able to partake in some surfing Florida Cocoa Beach style.

Want to really enjoy the water? Why not stand on it? Head out to the Cocoa Beach Pier and be surrounded by the ocean. If you go all the way to the end, you will be 800 feet out in the ocean. It also is a great place to grab a bite, do some souvenir shopping and enjoy the nightlife.

Remember, Cocoa Beach was a big part of the space race. Not far from Cocoa Beach is the Kennedy Space Center, the home of the US Space Program. If you have kids, you'll want to take them to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Center. From movies to bus rides through history, hands on exhibits and even getting to meet and talk to real astronauts, this is a great way to spend a day and learn something at the same time.

When it comes to places to eat for your Cocoa Beach Florida vacation, if you are near Ron Jon's or the other locales right by the sandy beaches, you may want to check out Captain J's Ocean Deck Restaurant. It looks out over the water and you can enjoy a good view of the waves, bikini contests, volleyball games and all the other goings-on while enjoying a good meal. If you are at the pier and would like to enjoy a nice meal with someone special or the family, try out the Pier House Restaurant. You can enjoy a great meal while watching the ocean lap up all around you.

Cocoa Beach is also a great way station if you are planning to take discount cruises out of port Canaveral. Port Canaveral, the base for many of the passenger cruise liners is just a few miles away. Staying in Cocoa Beach instead of the hotels near the port will allow you the time to enjoy much more of the Florida sunshine and beautiful surf.
