Dear Beach Bum,

Welcome to Discount Florida Vacations. My name is Joe Collinsworth and I want to share with you a journey that eventually led
me to starting this Florida travel site to begin to build upon my dreams.

After a long two years of trying, we finally found out that we were going to have a baby. To say we were elated with joy is an understatement!!

The time went by so fast and before I knew it, our little baby boy was here. The magic
and wonder that filled my heart as we welcomed him into our life was overwhelming.

Unfortunately it wasn't the only overwhelming feeling I experienced. As the days
flew by and we acclimated ourselves to one another, I started to realize a number of things...

I was dreading the day my maternity leave ended and had to go back to work.

I knew that people were able to fulfill their dream of working from home, setting their own hours, being their own boss, but could it really happen to me?

How was I going to make our dreams come true? Maybe I should just suck it up and go back to a job I hate and send my kid to daycare like everyone else.

Little did I know that the job that I hated anyway and had to go back to wasn't going to be there for long as due to economic pressure, I was going to be laid off shortly after returning to work.

What were we going to do? After my boss dropped the bomb that I was laid off, I was in a place I never envisioned and needed to find something fast!

Trying to find a new job when nobody was hiring was a challenge, even with the experience I had.

Luckily, my husband is an information geek, who has read just about everything he could get his hands on regarding working from home, building businesses, investing in the markets, and other opportunities.

Well today we are going to share our story with you on how we survived and thrived after this troubling time of one income and a new mouth to feed.

Just because someone made you believe you couldn't create your own life doesn't mean others aren't doing it. Life is too short to miss the precious memories, so if you'll let me take just a minute of your time, this letter could make a big change in the rest of your life.

Life Was Going Perfectly for Us, Until...

My husband and I met at a restaurant that we worked at and I had trained him on his 4th night there. Only dating for a few short months we were engaged at the ripe young age of 21 years.

He shared with me his dreams and aspirations and I found it amazing how someone thought the way he did about life. He had the dreams of a young child who desires to be a fireman or an astronaut.

About 6 months after we met, we found an opportunity we couldn't pass up. A network marketing company that promised us the world. Heck at 21 years old, you'll believe just about anything.

We kicked some butt for a while, brought in a ton of business our first few months along, and were asked to pick up and move to a nearby city to open a new office.

Life was great. We were making money, spending time together, running our own business, and enjoying our first year of marriage. We had all the excitement and stress a newly married couple could expect! We thought that we were living the dream!

Little did we know that the tables would suddenly turn and things would go sour...

I eventually got fed up with the business and really wanted out, yet Joe refused to quit because he had hit a dry patch and felt like he was on the verge of big time success. I think it was the B.S. they were feeding him and he was buying it hook line and sinker.

Now instead of a wonderful life, he was gone all the time working nights and weekends - nearly 7 days per week. After a few more months of pushing along, we had a huge fight. Instead of ending our short marriage, he decided to divorce the business and work on us.

He puttered around depressed for some time, but we both had a huge weight off our backs and our marriage improved day by day, but Joe was determined to find his path or figure out what he wanted to be when grew up!

Onto Our Next Get Rich Quick or Die Trying Scheme(s)...

Next we ventured into real estate and tried that for a while. We were intrigued by it and both really loved the idea of buildings, rehabs, and real estate.

Upon signing our first mortgage on an investment property that needed a ton of work, a mentor stepped in and reminded us of our naive thoughts and lack of education in real estate.

After some long discussions about what we were doing and where we wanted to go we decided that we needed to get our priorities in line, quit chasing the almighty buck, decided to pack up and move back to our hometown in Ohio and perhaps pursue our education further to be ready for the next opportunity.

This is the point where I began to realize real success is certainly not easy and it takes work, education, and time.

One thing I did learn through all this is nothing is guaranteed. I have seen coworkers who were thought to be valuable assets to the company let go. I have seen friends and family whip through their savings (that took a long time to save) because finding a new job takes time. I realized that we need to take control of our lives and make things happen for ourselves.

So, one day we were fooling around on the Internet and found something called Internet marketing and were amazed how normal people from different backgrounds and circumstances were making fortunes and building this amazing lifestyle by using their computer.

This opened the next door and what finally led us to the Site Build It family...

Try out this cool little experiment. Envision yourself sitting in a rocking chair at a very old age. See yourself there reflecting on your life. Did you do everything you wished you had done? Did you at least try? My biggest fear is being in that chair and wishing I had done this or that. Don't have regrets.

The choice is yours - think of what your purpose in life is and do what you love!
