I am loving a delicate vacation, with plenty of time to rest...this, and the sounds of the sea (I am from Recife, where the water is perfect always) give me the time to enjoy a perfect time...this is the perfect vacation for me.

I think my perfect vacation spot, particularly in Florida, would have to involve seclusion-- I'm a man who values his privacy in daily life, and even more so when I'm on vacation. One thing I particularly value when I get a villa, whether it's in the south of Spain, or south Florida, is that curious self-imposed isolation...I deliberately turn off all the phones and all the TVs and just soak in the world slowly, a piece at a time. Call me old-fashioned if you will :)

discount-florida-vacations.com is amazing-- absolutely chock-full of ideas and items (see 'Getting there' for great booking ideas-- 'pet travel' was indispensable for me and my dear little ones).
www.villa.us, as previously mentioned, is an excellent resource for renting and booking a, well, villa :) lol in FL...the guy who runs it has a bunch of really good employees and he seems to be on top of things. I for one had a pretty darn good experience there...the kid he had in charge of our rental even recommended a few restaurants nearby that fit our budget and our tastebuds!

I've had so much fun here in florida! Do you know anything else about rental agents for holiday trips? Last year i booked with a substandard agent (who will not be named) and I got COCKROACHES infesting my holiday getaway! That killed the romance of the trip for me in a second! Also the MAID didn't make the BEDS at ALL...even after we tipped her! eventually we figured out that she was just the gardener but then it was too late. so i need help. - walter grandellen

Of course, Whitney. I'm happy to be able to help you. The other website is villa.us, and they offer home rentals for vacationers in Florida (to my knowledge). I haven't patronized their services firsthand, so I can't give you too much information about that, but I've heard good things about the services they offer from my own clients (I do rehabilitative tai chi therapy nationwide).

I've heard some good things about www.villa.us as well; one of my elderly patients contacted the office there and in no time was set up with an excellent rental (she's from the Northeast). She told me she hasn't been moving this well in years and is so happy to be out of the winter's cold.
